Welcome

So glad you are here! My name is Sharon and I am a portrait photographer located in the Houston area. This is where you'll find previews of my latest sessions, what I'm currently up to and anything I think is interesting, fun or worthy of sharing.

I hope you will learn a little about me and my style of photography. I strive to capture the magic that is your family in artistic images you will treasure. I adore rustic settings, vintage furniture, tutus with t-shirts and beautiful natural light. And I LOVE what I do. Seriously, this is the best job. Ever.

Thanks for stopping by and please check back often. Oh, and don't forget to leave a comment to let me know what you think!

Been a while

Boy is that an understatement.  Where has the time gone?!  It has been so long since I’ve written a blog post that I actually forgot my password.  Yikes!  Well I hope I can at least remember how to upload some photos.  I feel caught up and rested and ready for the New Year.  Stay tuned for a few changes coming…  In the meantime here are some little beauties who are growing up too fast.

Summer girls

I thought I’d start out the new month with a blog post of these summer beauties.  They stopped playing just long enough for me to take a few quick photos (only after some begging on my part of course.)  They don’t seem to mind the heat, but I am so ready for some cooler weather.  At least cool enough to not be drenched after an afternoon photo session.  Happy July!  :)

Sweet Baby

My youngest brother and his wife just recently welcomed the newest member of their family.  He could not be any cuter if he tried and he smells pretty darn good as well.  I saw him for the first time last weekend and took a few photos during my visit.  Here are some of my favorites.  Can’t wait to see you all again!  {And no, we don’t want to babysit your cute little dog for the summer, just in case you thought I might change my mind.  :) }

A first

Last weekend I had my very first senior session.  High school senior, that is.  When I told a friend of mine I had a senior session, she thought I was photographing a couple over 65.  :)  So, meet the lovely Ms. C., the brave soul who jumped in and out of bouts of rain and barely escaped the pack of wild dogs, not to mention the ever-present colorful locals driving around.  (I’m being extra dramatic for her mom who couldn’t be there.)  I had lots of fun with you and your little sister!  You girls are so cute!!  Here’s your sneak peak.  I knew you could do the “serious look.”
